The Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG) is a high-level advisory group that assists the European Commission in the development of radio spectrum policy.
The RSPG is established under Commission Decision of 11 June 2019. The RSPG provides advice to the European Commission in the form of opinions and reports.
The remit of the RSPG has been extended as a result of the adoption of the European Electronic Communications Code in 2018.
The Members of the Group are representatives of the EU Member States and the EEA EFTA countries. Delegations include representatives from the national regulatory authorities and/or the ministries having responsibility for radio spectrum. Representatives of the EU candidate countries, the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) and the European Telecommunications Standardisation Institute (ETSI) are also invited to attend plenary meetings as observers.
The RSPG publishes an annual work programme and most official deliverables of the RSPG are subject to public consultation. The RSPG has also created a number of sub-groups to facilitate its work.
